Co-Sponsored Events

The Council works collaboratively with other organizations such as Alliant University, Human Rights Watch, San Diego Citizen Diplomacy Council, Scripps Institute of Oceanography, and The Joan Kroc Peace and Justice Institute to put on joint events.

In 2009 and 2010, the World Affairs Council worked with the following organizations:

  • The Institute of the Americas to discuss Human Rights Watch's activities with its Executive Director
  • The Kyoto Symposium Organization
  • UCSD's Center for US-Mexican Studies to discuss Food and Water Sustainability
  • The University of San Diego to discuss North American competitiveness, innovation and clean energy
  • The San Diego Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society, Amnesty International, and the International Rescue Committee to discuss the use of radios to bridge the gap between rural communities and the International Criminal Court
